On November 6, 2024, TBD students at The University of Texas at Austin visited the City of Austin’s Mobility Management Center for an in-depth look at modern traffic operations, signal timing, and urban mobility management. Hosted by Allison Richey, Traffic Management Center Manager, the event included guided tours and presentations on traffic management strategies, Vision Zero safety initiatives, and GIS applications in transportation planning.

Participants had the chance to engage directly with transportation professionals, gaining valuable insights into real-world challenges and exploring diverse career pathways in the field of transportation.
