TBD Center is proud to share that Dr. Ram Pendyala, TBD Associate Director and Professor at Arizona State University, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Frank M. Masters Transportation Engineering Award by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
This prestigious award recognizes individuals for outstanding contributions to the advancement of transportation planning, design, and construction. Dr. Pendyala is honored for his pioneering work in multimodal transportation planning, travel demand forecasting, activity-based analysis, and the dynamic modeling of transportation systems, over a career spanning more than 30 years.
The award was presented during the ASCE International Conference on Transportation & Development (ICTD), held in Glendale, Arizona, June 8–11, 2025. The TBD Center was well-represented at the conference to celebrate this proud milestone. TBD Director Dr. Chandra Bhat, Associate Directors Dr. Patricia Mokhtarian and Dr. Cynthia Chen, Senior Advisor Dr. Steven Polzin, and Assistant Director Dr. Irfan Batur were all in attendance, along with many TBD students who presented their research and joined in honoring Dr. Pendyala.
