TBD’s Doctoral Candidate Katherine Asmussen Receives Honorable Mention at ICMC 2024

Katherine Asmussen, a doctoral candidate at the University of Texas at Austin and affiliated with the TBD National Center, was awarded an honorable mention for the Best Ph.D. Paper at the 2024 International Choice Modeling Conference (ICMC).

Supervised by TBD Center Director Dr. Chandra Bhat, Katherine’s research, “The Interplay Between Teleworking Choice and Commute Distance,” examines the effects of teleworking on commute choices. This study is particularly important for understanding the dynamics of work arrangements and their influence on travel behaviors in the post-pandemic era.

Katherine was recognized with this award at the ICMC 2024, which took place in Puerto Varas, Chile, from April 1st to 3rd, 2024.
